Wherever the ambient air of workplaces is contaminated, or breathing air is generated from compressed air, special measures for the protection of health and life must be implemented One example is the generation of breathing air in hospitals.
As a matter of necessity, a large number of undesirable or life-threatening substances contained in air must be removed from breathing air. Among these are, for instance, particles, gas ingredient materials such as hydrocarbons, CO, CO2, SOx, NOx, odour substances, taste substances or mineral oil and the abrasion from compressors a. o.
The operational safety of FST systems was at the very top of the specifications for this responsible task. We offer a complete solution in the form of the new generation of the high-capacity breathing DPS-BM series (January 2001). All statutory breathing-air standards are observed in accordance with the particular objective in each case. The FST systems have been designed and constructed using high-quality components, and consist of a combination of high-capacity adsorption dryers equipped with special adsorbents and an activated carbon phase and high-end filter combination. This combined system automatically ensures the elimination of noxious air contents by optimum means. Accordingly breathing star BS and BSP ensure a residual oil content in breathing air (oil vapour) of only 0.003mg/m³, whereas the strictest current breathing-air standard (Pharmacopeè Europèene) demands 0.1mg/m³!
